Steak fajitas are a Tex-Mex favorite featuring juicy steak, colorful bell peppers, and onions, all served sizzling hot with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings.
Ingredients:
1 pound flank or skirt steak
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
1 onion, sliced
Tortillas for serving
Instructions:
Marinate the Steak – In a bowl or resealable bag, mix lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
Sear the Steak – Heat a large skillet or grill over high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust to desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
Cook the Veggies – In the same skillet, add a bit of oil if needed. Sauté bell peppers and onions over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes until softened and slightly charred.
Slice the Steak – After resting, slice the steak thinly against the grain.
Serve – Fill tortillas with steak slices and sautéed vegetables. Add toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or cheese as desired.
These sizzling steak fajitas bring vibrant flavor and color to your table, perfect for taco night or casual family dinners.
